Diagnostic (IVD) segment. Today, Techno Biomed is recognized for its diverse range of diagnostic equipment,
reagents, and specialized solutions catering to laboratories, hospitals, and medical institutions across Nepal
2012
The story of Techno Biomed started in 2012 AD. when Mahendra Baduwal, a medical laboratory technologist by profession (Executive Director), and Bhupendra Shrestha, a Bio-medical engineer by profession (Managing Director) felt a dire need for ownership with technical expertise in IVD business which had been a business of legacy among the entrepreneurs.With hematology analysers from Boule Medical (Medonic) which was US FDA Approved.
2014
In line with its vision to offer better quality, Techno Biomed expanded its portfolio and added biochemistry analysers from Adaltis (Italy). This marked the company’s commitment to offering reliable and higher-quality diagnostic tools to the Nepali market.
2015
Techno Biomed introduced EDAN ABG (Arterial Blood Gas) products, further diversifying its product offerings and strengthening its presence in critical care diagnostics.
2016
To enhance its nephrometry segment, Techno Biomed added Goldsite, a leading Chinese manufacturer, to offer comprehensive solutions for specific protein analysis.
2018
Techno Biomed added Randox, a world-renowned brand for fullyautomated biochemistry analysers, to provide a larger portfolio that included analysers, reagents, quality control (QC), external quality assessment (EQA), and chemistry. This year also saw the addition of another brand named Caretium for liquid-based electrolyte testing.
2020
Techno Biomed expanded its hematology range by adding Horiba, a premium brand recognized for its advanced technology. This move was aimed at better serving government entities and public healthcare institutions in Nepal.
